Кластерное кормление: что это такое и почему малыш часто ест
Многочасовые вечерние кормления одно за другим в первый раз пугают. Что такое кластерное кормление, откуда оно, как мы справлялись и когда просить помощи.
What is cluster feeding?
When a baby wants to feed much more often than usual, sometimes almost constantly, for a stretch of time. The NHS says it usually happens in the first 3 to 4 months and is very normal.
How long does cluster feeding last?
During a growth spurt, the NHS says babies may cluster feed for a few days, and things settle once supply catches up with demand.
Can bottle-fed babies cluster feed?
Yes. The NHS says formula-fed babies can cluster feed too, but it is important not to overfeed, so watch for signs your baby needs a break, like turning away or pushing the bottle away.
When should I worry about cluster feeding?
If feeding is painful, wet nappies drop, your baby is not interested in feeding, or weight gain is a concern. A temperature of 38°C or higher under 3 months needs urgent advice (NHS).
