Formula feeding guide: how to make a bottle safely

How to make up baby formula safely: why scoop ratios differ by brand, water at 70°C, water first then powder, and how long a made-up bottle lasts (NHS and CDC).

1 scoop of formula equals how many ml of water?

It depends on the brand. Many UK powders use 1 scoop per 30 ml of water, and many US powders use 1 scoop per 2 fl oz (60 ml). Always follow the instructions on your tin and use the scoop that came with it.
