Regressione del sonno: età, segnali e cosa aiuta

Cos’è una regressione del sonno, le età in cui i genitori la notano più spesso, cosa c’è dietro e i passi calmi e sicuri per superare le notti spezzate.

At what ages do sleep regressions happen?

Parents commonly report them around 4 months, 8–10 months, 12 months, 18 months and 2 years. These are approximate and not every baby has every one.

How long does a sleep regression last?

There's no official answer and it varies between babies. Many families find it settles within a few weeks. If broken sleep goes on much longer or your baby seems unwell, check in with your health visitor or doctor.

Is a sleep regression the same as a developmental leap?

Not exactly. Some parents follow a leap model based on research by Hetty van de Rijt and Frans Plooij on infant regression periods and notice sleep changes around those times, but it's a framework some families find useful, not a medical fact.
